Quanzhou, a coastal city in southeast China's Fujian Province, was once the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road and one of China's busiest ports. In 2021, "Quanzhou: Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China" was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List as a cultural site.
