The YY-20 is an in-flight refueling variant of the Y-20 transport plane independently made by China. It was widely involved in the PLA Eastern Theater Command's military drills in airspace around Taiwan on Tuesday, conducting refueling drills alongside other fighter jets. The YY-20 is an important strategic asset for PLA Air Force as it significantly enlarges the operational range of fighter jets and reconnaissance aircraft.
