The Perseids, among the year's most prolific meteor showers, may hit a peak of 100 visible meteors per hour on the night of August 12 and into the morning. But with the bright light of the Sturgeon Supermoon also occurring on August 12, stargazers will likely observe a lot fewer meteor shower streaks.
