June to August is the harvest season in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and nearly 100,000 mu (6,600 hectares) of fresh apricots in Shufu County, Kashgar Prefecture, are ready to be harvested. Shufu County is the famous town of Muyag Apricot, the main variety of apricot. At present, Shufu County has more than 90,000 mu (6,000 hectares) of Muyag apricot.

In recent years, thanks to the help of the Guangzhou Aid Xinjiang Task Force, Shufu County has been accelerating the adjustment of the agricultural and industrial structure, reinforcing transportation and logistics, and helping farmers to increase their incomes. Today, the fruits and vegetables of Shufu County can reach Kashgar, Urumqi, and even the wholesale markets and supermarkets outside Xinjiang, by plane, train, and road as soon as the same day.
