Monkeypox has officially been declared a public health emergency in the United States. More than 10,000 cases have been confirmed in the U.S. since May and the Biden administration has scrambled to get ahead of the crisis. So far there have been no deaths associated with the current monkeypox outbreak and U.S. public health officials want to keep it that way.
