Since autumn is the harvest season in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the third division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps planted more than 3,700 mu (250 hectares) of prunes that are ready to be harvested at Dongfeng farm. In an orchard of prunes at the farm, plums covered with white fruit powder hang on the branches. These prunes grew at the foot of the Kunlun Mountains.

In order to reduce the impact of the epidemic on the transportation of prunes, they were sent to six cold storage units. In recent years, through the establishment of cooperatives, Dongfeng Farm has broadened sales channels of prunes, which have been ordered prior to their harvest.
