At least 41 people were killed in a fire inside a church in the Egyptian city of Giza on Sunday, said Egypt's Coptic Church, citing health officials.
Egypt's state-run Al-Ahram newspaper also reported 41 people are feared dead and 14 others injured as the result of the blaze.
"I am closely following up on the church fire incident, and I’ve instructed that it is dealt with immediately," Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi tweeted.
All victims were transferred to a local hospital for treatment, said Egyptian Health Ministry Spokesperson Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar.
