A ceremony celebrating a new round of cooperation between China Media Group (CMG) and the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) was held simultaneously in Beijing and the southern Chinese region on Monday.

Macao SAR Chief Executive Ho Iat-seng, CMG President Shen Haixiong, and Zheng Xincong, head of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, attended the event and gave speeches.

Capitalizing on CMG's experience in innovation and its strength in multimedia outreach, the rich and diverse new projects showcase Macao's uniqueness as a blend of Chinese and Western cultures, Ho said.

The projects "are aimed to better present stories about China to the international audience," he added.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has always kept the people of Macao in mind and held the prosperity of the region in high regard, Shen added.
