Envoy: China urges U.S. to take primary responsibility for Afghan reconstruction

One year after American troops withdrew from Afghanistan, China's Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs Yue Xiaoyong tells CGTN that the United States should take primary responsibility for Afghanistan's peace, stability and reconstruction, as it created Afghanistan's current problems and crisis. Yue just finished a visit to Afghanistan from August 9 to 11, the goal of which was to implement the result of a Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Afghanistan held in China earlier this year. He says China has done much to help the Afghan economy, and there's room for the international community to do more.
