The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Monday organized joint combat exercises and training around the waters and airspace of Taiwan island.
The Eastern Theater Command will take all necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits, Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson for the PLA Eastern Theater Command, said on Monday.
