A surging tidal bore appeared in the Qiantang River in east China's Zhejiang Province on August 15, which was also the 18th day of the seventh month on the Chinese lunar calendar. This spectacular phenomenon is called the "Ghost King Tide" as it occurs around China's Ghost Festival. Despite the summer heat, the natural wonder still drew lots of spectators. The best time of year to watch the Qiantang tidal bore is midway through the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Let's enjoy the tide's beauty as it meets the birds!
