PLA conducts more military drills around Taiwan after five U.S. lawmakers visit island
The Chinese People's Liberation Army is continuing drills in the airspace and waters around the Taiwan Island. It says the Eastern Theater Command held combat-readiness patrols and exercises involving troops on Tuesday. The Air Force of the Southern Theater Command conducted night-time exercises on Monday. It says the drills included intensive training of pilots and have improved their capabilities in varying weather conditions. Meanwhile, China has added seven more people to a list of "Taiwan independence" supporters and imposed sanctions on them. Three others are already on the list.
