The poverty alleviation information system accurately records information about poor families. Every poor family registered in the system can be located geographically, based on their income level and health conditions. The information system helped the medical team to find a patient in Baqiao Village, Xilin County of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and helped him return to a normal life after treating his spinal meningioma. During the past few years, the poverty alleviation information system has helped many like Li Wenbin to rise above poverty. It will continue to play an important role in China's efforts to build a moderately prosperous society.
