- On a surprise visit to the capital Kyiv on Wednesday, outgoing British Prime Minister Johnson lauded Ukraine for its "indomitable" resistance and said now was not the time to promote a "flimsy plan for negotiation" with Moscow.

- The U.S. on Wednesday announced an additional tranche of security assistance to Ukraine worth nearly $3 billion, the largest one-time weapons aid package to Kyiv that comes as the Russia-Ukraine conflict reaches the half-year mark.
