A wildfire reignited in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality nearby forests on Thursday afternoon as the city registered a record high temperature of 45 degrees Celsius on the day.

The wildfire was basically put under control on Thursday morning, with no casualties or injuries after it erupted on Wednesday night in Fuling District.

Two towns in Nanchuan District in Chongqing also reported wildfires on Thursday. Residents have been evacuated and firefighters are battling with the blaze.
