China starts shipment of high-speed trains to Indonesia

China has shipped high-speed trains to Indonesia for the first time. The trains, customized for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project, are expected to arrive in Indonesia by the end of August. The project is one of the most important cooperation projects between Beijing and Jakarta under the Belt and Road Initiative. Once completed, it will be the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia.
