The International Army Games are underway.

Two of the events - the "Suvorov Attack" and "Safe Route" contests - are being held in southwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with soldiers from China, Russia, Belarus, Iran, and Venezuela competing. The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) claimed victory in the Suvorov Attack Relay Race.
