At around 5:00 p.m., Sunday, a fire broke out in the mountain forest of Jieshi Town, Banan District, Chongqing Municipality, which is still burning along the ridge. Since August 18, due to the continuous heatwave, mountain fires have occurred in Jiangjin, Dazu, Tongliang and other districts in Chongqing.
