The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf political party and former Pakistani prime minister, protective bail until Thursday in a terrorism case registered against him for threatening police, judiciary and other state institutions at his Islamabad rally on Saturday, local media has reported.
The court will issue a contempt of court notice to Khan for his controversial remarks to Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry, said the report.
Khan was booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act for threatening the judge and senior police officers at a rally in the federal capital's F-9 Park on Saturday.
