The UN Security Council will hold a meeting on the critical situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant on Tuesday afternoon local time. UN Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo will attend the meeting.
Russia on Monday requested the meeting regarding the nuclear power station.
The Zaporizhzhia plant, one of Europe's largest nuclear power plants, has been controlled by Russian forces since early March, but Ukrainian staff has continued to operate it. Last week, Ukraine and Russia accused each other over a strike at the facility.
