According to a UN-backed report, nearly 20 million people in Afghanistan – almost half the population – are facing acute hunger. CGTN's reporter visits a UN World Food Program (WFP) distribution center in Kabul, where supplies such as flour, oil and salt are distributed to 6,000 beneficiaries on a monthly basis. A WFP coordinator considers unemployment to be one of the reasons crises have occurred, and says that many beneficiaries have experienced a downturn in their small businesses.
