First match of IGA's Safe Route contest held in Xinjiang

The first match of the "Safe Route," a minesweeping contest among military engineering troops, was held as part of the ongoing International Army Games. This year's "Safe Route" contest included 18 items in four categories, including road opening, obstacle clearance and bridging. Games on August 23 involved teams from China, Russia and Venezuela. Each six-member team was required to overcome 11 obstacles. Contestants also carried out mine sweeping missions in the shoal and a minefield with various types of mines.
