Japan maintaining sanctions against Russia

The Japanese government confirmed on Tuesday that it will maintain its sanctions against Russia while working in tandem with other Group of Seven nations, Kyodo News has reported.

At the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also instructed officials to work on measures to deal with rising energy prices prompted by the ongoing conflict which has lasted nearly half a year.
