One year after the Taliban's takeover in Afghanistan, what has changed? CGTN presents "Afghanistan in Transition," a joint production with Afghanistan's Shamshad TV. Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Afghan interim government, said the lives of the rural community have improved dramatically as agricultural and mining exports have doubled, and diplomatic relations with neighboring countries have improved. However, urban and middle-class Afghans are "suffering tremendously" due to job losses and sanctions on Afghanistan. He said the interim government is endeavoring to address the people's immediate needs and tap the country's development potential in the long term.
