Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said the U.S. attack on targets in Syria was "a violation of sovereignty and national integrity" in a statement on Wednesday.

The U.S. Central Command stated it carried out airstrikes targeting infrastructure facilities used by groups affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Tuesday.

Iran also denied having any link to sites targeted by the U.S. in Syria.
