NASA scientists published a black hole sonification remix on August 22. NASA officials noted that the black hole was found 200 million light-years from Earth, at the center of the Perseus galaxy cluster. In this sonification of Perseus, the sound waves astronomers previously identified were extracted and made audible for the first time. The sound waves were extracted outward from the center.
