Zein Ali started his journey in China as a student from Syria in 2010. In the following years, his triplet brother, sister and their parents moved to China, and now the whole family lives in the eastern city of Nanjing. Walid Ali, Zein's father, is a famous Syrian artist, and Zein's mother, Fairouz Nassr, is a former Syrian state media journalist. Zein and his older brother and sister are all PhD students at Nanjing University of the Arts. Besides, Zein also helped his dad to hold a "One Belt, One Road" art exhibition, donated money to the Wuhan pandemic, and volunteered in the community. In the video, he shares his feelings about living in the country, and his parents say how much they like China and feel it is very safe and very much their second home.
