Under a new partnership, China will provide Russia with multiple Chinese domestic documentaries and feature films. The deal was heralded during an event in Beijing on August 26, held by China Media Group (CMG) and the Russian Embassy in China. CGTN's channels will also feature programs on history and culture from their Russian counterparts. Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy in China has awarded CMG President Shen Haixiong the Russian "Friendship Medal" in recognition of his contribution to promoting bilateral exchange.
