A mirror that can examine your skin conditions, a box that can remind you to take your medicine and a bed that can be monitored remotely, these are just some of the many gadgets inside of China's first smart ward for household use. The ward was unveiled recently in Guangzhou, and it's a collaborative project by dozens of organizations, including Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital and South China University of Technology. The ward is designed to make life easier for people with chronic diseases, and it will allow them to stay at home while still receive proper treatment.
