A team of international monitors is expected to deploy to Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in a few days. Pressure has been growing for the visit. The Zaporizhzhia facility in Ukraine was disconnected from the power grid on August 25 because of damage to a transmission line. The damage was caused by fires that Ukraine's state nuclear agency Energoatom said had interfered with power lines connecting the plant, temporarily cutting Zaporizhzhia from the grid.
"As a result, the station's two working power units were disconnected from the network," Energoatom said in a statement.
