A ferry with over 80 people on board caught fire Friday off Batangas province, south of Manila, capital of the Philippines, injuring one person, a spokesperson for the country's Coast Guard said.
Coast Guard Spokesperson Armand Balilo said the vessel was carrying 82 people, including 34 crew and 48 passengers.
As of 7:30 p.m. local time, 73 people have been rescued and the one injured was taken to a hospital, and the rescue operation is still ongoing.
