Western sanctions on Russia and the massive military supplies to Ukraine are dragging the world back to the Cold War period, said Ernesto Samper Pizano, former president of Colombia.

Ernesto said in an exclusive interview with China Central Television (CCTV) that what the U.S. and Western nations should do was to seek peace but they had intensified the Russia-Ukraine conflict with sanctions that had taken a toll on the Russian people instead of their targeted government.
