Ukrainian forces shelled the Energodar region where the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is located, RIA reported Saturday, citing Alexander Volga, the Russian appointed official in the region.

He said that 20 strikes were inflicted, and five of them landed in the urban region and areas around the nuclear power plant.

The Ukrainian side did not immediately respond to the allegation.
