A local herder's camels were chased by wolves while grazing in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. One fell into a pit more than two meters deep. Several herdsmen tried unsuccessfully to rescue the camel before calling local firefighters for help. The firefighters eventually managed to lift the camel out with ropes attached to their truck's aerial.
