Rafael Mariano Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said on Sunday that he was continuing consultations with all parties to send an IAEA expert mission to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP) in the next few days to help ensure nuclear safety and security there.
The IAEA confirmed on Sunday that it had received reports from Ukraine of renewed shelling at the site of Zaporizhzhia NPP on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday but said information on the nature of the damage still is incomplete.
"All measurements of radioactivity at the ZNPP site were within normal range, and there was no indication of any hydrogen leakage, Director General Grossi said, citing information from Ukraine," the agency said in an update statement.
