The negotiation process on a nuclear deal has been on a positive and forward trend up to this stage, Nasser Kanani, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, told state news agency IRNA on Sunday.

Iran will discuss the American side's response to an EU-drafted proposal after discussions in specialized meetings, Kanani said.

Iran is serious about the negotiation process and about reaching a stable and comprehensive agreement, Kanani added, without giving a specific date on when the Iranian response will come.
