EU plans to suspend deal easing Russian visa requests

The European Union is planning to suspend an agreement that eases the path for Russians to apply for visas to travel to the bloc, an EU diplomat told reporters on Monday.

"We cannot continue the visa policy as it has been up to now," he said, requesting not to be named, ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Prague to discuss the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
