The floods in Pakistan have claimed 1,136 lives and injured 1,634 others besides damaging over 1 million homes since mid-June, the National Disaster Management Authority said on Monday. A number of bridges and numerous roads have been washed away, making rescue operations more difficult. International aid has started to flow into Pakistan after the country appealed for help.
