UNHCR Representative to Afghanistan Leonard Zulu says that currently, more than 3.4 million people are internally displaced in Afghanistan, and around 3 million Afghan refugees are in Iran and Pakistan. Many refugees want to come home, hoping they can work freely and go to schools, while people in Afghanistan are hoping that the UNHCR can help them create favorable conditions for a better living. Zulu says they have been working with donor partners, including China, to fulfill the aspirations of the Afghan people.
