China on Wednesday urged the United States to abide by the one-China principle and the stipulations in the three China-U.S. joint communique and immediately stop any form of official exchange with China's Taiwan region.

When asked to comment on a visit by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey to Taiwan, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian stressed at a regular press conference that China would take strong measures to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity.
