Millions of livestock have started their seasonal migration in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. In Hejing County, more than a million animals are being transferred to autumn pastures in warm and flat areas. Bayanbulak, China's second largest grassland, sits at the foot of Tianshan Mountains in the country's far west. The spring grasslands are about 2,500 meters above sea level, and have had an early snowfall this year.
