Pen Path mobile school provides hope for Afghan children
CGTN

Without any classrooms, desks or chairs, children sit on the ground to attend the Pen Path mobile school. Volunteer teachers arrive at the school on tricycles, which are equipped with electronic screens and a mini library to bring basic education to some 120 children living in a remote village in Kandahar's Spin Boldak district. Here in this makeshift school, the children study Pashto, English and mathematics among other subjects.

Afghanistan recently emerged from 20 years of war. The country is currently in desperate need of professionals such as doctors, teachers, engineers and economists, to help rebuild it. Local media reports that over 3.5 million Afghan children are unable to attend school due to poverty, security threats, and cultural barriers.
