Volunteer teachers arrive at the school on tricycles, which are equipped with electronic screens and a mini library to bring basic education to some 120 children living in a remote village in Kandahar's Spin Boldak district. Here in this makeshift school, the children study Pashto, English and mathematics among other subjects.

Local media reports that over 3.5 million Afghan children are unable to attend school due to poverty, security threats, and cultural barriers.
