The Tongan government has announced a one-month extension of its current state of emergency, according to New Zealand media on Wednesday.
Tonga has been under a dual state of emergency since the eruption of the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apai volcano on January 15 and the detection of two confirmed COVID-19 cases on February 1.
