Exhibitors are showcasing the latest technologies and applications for green energy development and smart management as they seek opportunities for future cooperation at the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which opened Wednesday in Beijing.

The new technologies are part of efforts to help China achieve its "dual carbon" goals, which entail peaking carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060.

The event, which kicked off at the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park, will run until September 5.

In addition to the general exhibition, there are nine thematic exhibitions, including the newly established environmental service exhibition. In the environmental service area, many exhibitors, including some of the top 500 domestic enterprises, have brought their new technologies and applications.

At the same time, the thematic exhibition also built a platform for online and offline exchanges between exhibitors and clients, providing broad opportunities for future cooperation and development.

A leading official from Trina Solar, a prominent enterprise in the photovoltaic power industry, said they hope to use the platform to seek more partners and strengthen cooperation with other exhibitors, achieving a win-win situation while protecting the environment by implementing the "dual carbon" strategy.

"CIFTIS is a very good platform for foreign exchanges and business cooperation for us. Through this international fair, we will expand our business to a larger scope," said Gao Jifan, chairman of Trina Solar.

Another company in the smart energy management sector also displayed its newly developed energy carbon management platform. Through the connection of digital means and the Internet of Things, the platform can extract the energy consumption data and carbon data from various energy-consuming terminals to form digital solutions for zero-carbon transformation.

"We also hope to establish in-depth cooperation with our related upstream and downstream enterprises through the 2022 CIFTIS to jointly develop ecology, help users achieve a zero-carbon life and contribute to the 'dual carbon' cause with our ability," said Qi Yifeng, general manager of Beijing Linkingsmart Technology.
