Another expressway opens to traffic in Xinjiang — crossing China's largest no man's lands. The Yiruo Expressway constructed by China Communication Construction Company is a 294 kilometer paved road linking the Yitunbulak Town and Ruoqiang Town. The Yiruo Expressway is situated at a high altitude and passes through complex terrain. The road runs through two of China's four largest depopulated zones — the Altun Mountain No Man's Land and the Lop Nur no man's land. Now, with traffic open, the Yiruo Expressway is the third major expressway in and out of Xinjiang.
