The harvest of 10,333 hectares of wheat in the mountainous area of Tianshan Mountains in Tekes County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is drawing to an end. 

Tekes County is an important grain producing area in Xinjiang's Ili River Valley. The unique mountainous landform, temperature, sunlight, water and soil conditions are very suitable for the growth of wheat. 

This year, the wheat output in Tekes is expected to reach 59,000 tonnes.
