The U.S. has long planned to provoke the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Willy Wimmer, Germany's former parliamentary state secretary, said in an exclusive interview with CMG.
He pointed out the U.S. wants to shape the Eurasian continent in its own way and has wanted to kick Russia out of Europe for more than 20 years, and constantly inflamed the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in order to expand its sphere of influence.
"Sanctions against Russia are aimed at achieving a political goal, just like the development of the situation in Ukraine is also for the same political purpose, which U.S. allies must bear the consequences of sanctions against Russia as a result. That makes us face the problem of no longer cooperating with each other, but a divided world, which is not good for us," said Wimmer.
