Chinese homegrown solar-powered drone makes maiden flight

China's first large fully solar-powered drone successfully completed its maiden flight on Saturday. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform landed smoothly after 26 minutes of flight in the air, with all systems operating normally, according to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.
