'Flying Eagle' aviation rescue team dispatched to quake epicenter

A magnitude-6.8 earthquake at a depth of 16km jolted Luding County in southwest China's Sichuan Province on September 5. Immediately after the earthquake hit, the Chengdu fire rescue team in the 'Flying Eagle' team assembled and flew to the quake epicenter. The planned flight distance was 220km and the team was expected to arrive in one hour. According to the local officials, 21 people were killed after the earthquake.
